Kosher Harvest
In August 2022 we harvested the spring oats. As part of the Kosher harvest, we had two rabbis onsite to oversee the harvest and drying process.
The kosher harvest took place over 3 days, but the preparation takes place a week in advance. The combine is fully cleaned to ensure the highest quality oats pass through with no contamination.
Our organic gluten free oats are used to make Matza crackers for the Jewish tradition of Passover.
During the harvest Kevin injured his leg. This slowed down the harvest, milling and packing in the following weeks.
